Reading Royals News Release

(Reading, PA) – The Reading Royals have officially signed their second player for the upcoming season. Defenseman Jim Dube (Doo-BAY) joins veteran Larry Courville on the 2002-03 Royals roster.

Dube was recently acquired by the Royals from the Arkansas Riverblades to complete a trade that sent forward Andy MacIntyre to Arkansas last season. The second year pro played for coach Lohrei in Baton Rouge last year before being traded to Arkansas. Prior to turning pro, Dube spent four years at Ferris State University of the CCHA.

"I am excited to play in the Northern Conference! I have heard it is a tighter checking style which I am more accustomed to playing," said the Ottawa Ontario native. "I am thrilled to be playing in Reading as well. I heard the fan support is awesome!"

"Jimmy is a guy I am very familiar with," Lohrei said. "He is a guy I recruited out of Ferris State to Baton Rouge. Jim is a great guy that is very competitive, reliable and knows his role on the team. I'm happy to have him as part of our club."

The Reading Royals sophomore season faces off in October. Season tickets are now on sale at the Royals Hockey Headquarters. Now is your chance to "Join the Pride" for the 2002-03 season. Visit the Royals website at www.royalshockey.com or call 610-898-7825. Royals Hockey...Pride!
