Langley, BC -- The Victoria Royals were defeated 6-1 on Thursday night, and fell to the Vancouver Giants in four games during their best-of-seven series in Round 2 of the 2019 WHL Playoffs.

Notes:

Royal Farewell: Victoria had a pair of 20-year-old players take part in their final WHL game tonight in goaltender Griffen Outhouse and blueliner Ralph Jarratt. Outhouse appeared in 196 regular season games for the Royals and finished his career as the seventh winningest goalie in WHL history, while Jarratt skated in 268 regular season contests for Victoria. Kody McDonald who did not play tonight, participated in 323 games during his career with the Prince George Cougars, Prince Albert Raiders and Victoria, also had his WHL career end with tonight's loss.

Franchise Leader: Tonight, Royals' 20-year-old defenceman Ralph Jarratt suited up for his 46th career WHL playoff game. He is now the franchise's all-time leader in playoff appearances, as he passed former Royal, Tyler Soy who had 45.
