Royals Game, Fireworks Postponed

OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Royals game vs. the Nashville Sounds, scheduled for 7:05 p.m. tonight at Rosenblatt Stadium, has been postponed due to cold and wind. The two teams will make up the postponed game by playing a doubleheader when Nashville visits Omaha in July. They will meet in a pair of seven-inning games on Tuesday, July 8th, with the first pitch of the opener scheduled for 5:05 p.m. The Werner Enterprises Fireworks show scheduled to follow tonight's contest will be made up later this season, on a date to be announced.
The July 8th twin bill will be quite a bargain for Royals fans, as it will fall on a regularly scheduled $2 2uesday, featuring $2 General Admission tickets, which will be good for both games, courtesy of Valpak, Z-92 and The Reader!
This marks the fourth Royals game that has been postponed due to bad weather this month, with three of those occurring in Omaha and the other in Nashville. The Royals season and home opener on April 3rd was postponed due to rain and cold and was already made up in an April 5th doubleheader vs. Albuquerque. The finale of the first home stand on April 10 vs. Round Rock was also postponed, again due to rain and cold, and will be made up as a doubleheader on Sunday, July 20th at 1:35 p.m. The Royals were also rained out last Friday, April 18th, at Nashville. The two teams will meet in a doubleheader at Greer Stadium in Nashville on Saturday, August 9th.
The Royals and Sounds will still play a single, nine-inning game on Saturday, April 26th, with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch. The Royals will give away Rosenblatt Stadium tomorrow night! Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the first 1,500 fans receive a replica of Rosenblatt Stadium, courtesy of Coca-Cola, 1620 The Zone, WOWT and The Reader!
