The RedHawks lost back-to-back games for the first time this season, falling 11-5 to the Albuquerque Isotopes last night, two days after dropping a 5-1 decision at Iowa. Albuquerque hit four home runs, including three off Oklahoma starter Eric Hurley, and scored their runs in bunches of three, three, three, and two. Hurley struck out eight, but also surrendered six runs over his five innings. The Oklahoma offense battled back and came within one run of Albuquerque twice in the game, but the Isotopes scored five unanswered runs over the contest's last three innings to seal the win.

ONE STREAK BROKEN AND ONE ROLLS ON:

Jason Ellison had his 12-game hitting streak snapped with an 0-3 performance at the plate, but did walk in his very first plate appearance to extend his on-base streak to 16 games. The 12-game string is tied with Portland's Luis Rodriguez for the longest such streak in the PCL this year, while the 16 game roll is the third longest this season. Bradley Coon of Salt Lake and Todd Linden have each had streaks of 18 consecutive games on base this season, with Coon's still ongoing.
