
I-Cubs trounce Memphis, 16-3

A 10-run fourth inning led the Iowa Cubs to trounce the Memphis Redbirds 16-3 on a chilly Friday night at Principal Park.
Iowa starting pitcher Mark Holliman did it all, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, while allowing three runs over 6.1 innings of work.
Everyone in Iowa's lineup scored a run in the ten-run fourth inning, and only Koyie Hill did not record an RBI.
The Iowa Cubs tallied 21 hits in the victory as Andres Torres extended his hit streak to 11 games with a 3-for-5 night. Seven of Iowa's starters recorded a mulit-hit game in the team's third consecutive victory.
Holliman (1-1) picked up the win for Iowa while Blake Hawksworth (0-3) was tagged with the loss.
Iowa and Memphis meet tomorrow for game three of their four-game set Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
