Greeneville, Tenn. - The Royals took their first extra-inning loss of 2019 on Monday, falling 4-3 against the Reds.

Greeneville found the board first in the bottom of the second, taking a 2-0 lead after Danny Lantigua legged out a two-run RBI triple.

However, Burlington did have an answer. Mikey Filia cut the deficit in half after scoring on a wild pitch in the top of the fifth. Then, one inning later, Vinnie Pasquantino evened the score at 2 on a sacrifice fly that brought in Jake Means.

The score held at 2 apiece until the top of the 11th, when Pasquantino hit another sacrifice fly to give the Royals a 3-2 lead. That wouldn't hold though, as the Reds walked it off in the bottom of the inning on a Carlos Reina RBI double.

Tyler Gibson earned the win for Greeneville while Elliott Anderson took the loss for Burlington.

The two teams square off on Tuesday in the rubber match of their three-game set. First pitch is scheduled to 6:30 p.m.
