Reading Royals News Release
Reading, PA - The Reading Royals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, announced Tuesday the team has claimed D Scott Dornbrock off waivers. The rookie graduated from Miami University in 2018 and signed with Idaho Sept. 12. A 24-year-old native of Harper Woods, MI, Dornbrock posted one goal and eight points with the Redhawks last season. He stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 230 pounds.
Dornbrock scored 35 points (6g) and recorded 98 PIM over four NCAA seasons. As a sophomore, Dornbrock qualified for the NCHC All-Academic Team. The next season, 2016-17, was his most-prolific offensively (3g, 10a).
Prior to skating for Miami, Dornbrock played two seasons in the NAHL for Minot and made the postseason in back-to-back campaigns.
