Royals' Adam Evanoff Joins the AHL's Stockton Heat

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals are pleased to announce that netminder Adam Evanoff has joined the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League (AHL) on an Amateur Tryout Agreement.

The product of Penticton, BC last played in 2019-20 when he completed his third season in the WHL. In 45 games, split between the Royals and Moose Jaw Warriors, Evanoff recorded a 3.69 goals against average (GAA), a 0.897 save percentage (SV%) and one shutout.

"Adam is a quality goaltender, who has earned this opportunity through his hard work, dedication and perseverance," Royals GM and Head Coach Dan Price said. "We are extremely happy for him and wish him all the best with Stockton."

In 101 career WHL games with Victoria and Moose Jaw, Evanoff has registered a mark of 47-38-7-3 to go along with a 3.10 GAA, a 0.905 SV% and two shutouts.

The 6-0, 196 lb goaltender was selected by the Warriors in the 10th round, 219th overall in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.

If the Royals play a 2020-21 season, the 20-year-old will be returned to the club.

Stockton, who are the AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, are playing all their home games in Calgary for the duration of the 2020-21 season due to the pandemic.
