
Royals Acquire Justin Lies in Exchange for a Draft Pick

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals announced the acquisition of forward Justin Lies from the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for a conditional 3rd round pick in 2026. Hailing from Flin Flon, Manitoba, Lies stands at 6'1 and 205lbs. Lies has spent four seasons in the WHL with the Vancouver Giants and Saskatoon Blades. During the 2022-23 season, Lies tallied 9 goals and 23 points in 56 games and accumulated 82 penalty minutes. Lies has appeared in 176 regular season WHL games to date, where he has put up 21 goals, 53 points and 178 penalty minutes.

We believe Justin will play an important role on our team this season, in all areas of the game both on and off the ice," said Royals General Manager and Head Coach, Dan Price.
