Royals Acquire Jake Kustra from Blades

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals are pleased to announce that the club has acquired 1999-born defenceman Jake Kustra and a seventh round pick in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft from the Saskatoon Blades for a 2019 fourth round draft pick.

A native of Yorkton, SK, Kustra has tallied one assist and 10 penalty minutes in 10 games so far this season with Saskatoon. Last year, the 6-0, 176 lb defender registered 18 points (4g-14a) to go along with 141 minutes in penalties in 71 contests with the Blades.

The 19-year-old blueliner has played in 169 career WHL regular season games, all with Saskatoon, and has recorded six goals, 25 assists and 222 penalty minutes.

Kustra was selected by the Blades in the second round, 34th overall, in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft.
