
Rox Win Fourth Straight Game, Extend First-Place Lead in Willmar

St. Cloud, MN - St. Cloud (15-3) used two home runs from Charlie Condon to beat Willmar (12-9) and extend its lead in the Great Plains West to four-and-a-half games.
Condon (Georgia) started the scoring early with a three-run home run to left-center in the top of the first. He extended the lead again with a two-run shot to left in the fifth inning. Condon now sits in second in the Northwoods League with 22 RBI's this season.
Camden Hayslip (Alabama) also had a big day at the plate in his second start of the season. Hayslip had a double and a triple in Willmar and drove in three runs to help the Rox to the victory.
Other Rox' hitters also jumped in on the action at the plate, as the Rox tallied a total of 15 hits. John Nett (St. Cloud State) added three hits at the top of the lineup, while Dawson Martin (Nevada) recorded two at the bottom of the order.
Johnny Dow (Georgia State) had a great outing on the mound in his third start of the season. Dow went six innings on the bump and even had a stretch of three innings where he only threw 16 pitches to record nine outs.
Zane Badmaev (Tarleton State) got the Rox to the ninth with two solid innings of work in the seventh and eighth. Then, Danny Glenos (Montevallo) finished it off with a scoreless ninth.

St. Cloud returns to the Rock Pile on Monday to face the Stingers in the series finale, looking for another sweep and a fifth straight win. First pitch from Joe Faber Field is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
