
Rox Welcome Former Manager Nottle with Bobblehead

Brockton, MA (May 8, 2008) - The Brockton Rox have unveiled the first in a series of memorable bobble-figures to be distributed to fans at Campanelli Stadium this summer. Former Manager Ed Nottle will be immortalized with the Ed Nottle Bobblehead doll presented by Mix 98.5 FM on Thursday, June 12th when the Rox host Nottle's new team, the Ottawa Rapidz.
The bobblehead features some striking characteristics including his snappy stirrups and trademark sunglasses. The first 1,000 fans through the gates on Thursday, June 12th will receive this one-of-a-kind bobblehead.
Nottle was the first Rox manager and managed the team from 2002 - 2005. His 2003 Rox won the Northeast League Championship. Nottle has managed in the minors for over 25 years. His resume includes stops in 8 different states during his career with more than 1,300 wins. In 1981, Baseball America named him the Minor League Manager of the Year, and the Pacific Coast League Manager of the Year while he was with Tacoma (Wash.). In 1987, while managing the Pawtucket Red Sox, he was named the International League Manager of the Year.
