Brockton, Mass. - The Brockton Rox of the Can-Am League will honor righthanded pitcher Tanner Brakken of the Bridgewater Little League's Roche Brothers team during the club's June 26 game against the New Jersey Jackals at 1:05 p.m.

Brakken, who will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game, has had several dazzling performances for his team so far this season, fanning 83 hitters in 45 innings. During the team's first game on April 26, the 12-year-old struck out all 18 batters in the six-inning game. One week later, on May 2, Brakken struck out 14 of 15 hitters.

In the May 16 issue of Sports Illustrated, he was featured in the "Go Figure" section, alongside the Minnesota Twins' Francisco Liriano and the Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin.

With a contribution from Cumberland Farms, Bridgewater Youth Baseball was able to sell 500 Rox fundraiser tickets to the game, garnering $2,500 for the organization.

Led by reigning Can-Am League Player of the Week Keith Brachold , the Rox are currently in fourth place in the Can-Am League with a 15-11 record. Sunday's game, the finale of the three-game set against the Jackals, is also Sunday Family Fun Day; spectators can play catch on the field before the game, while young fans can run the bases and get autographs from Rox players afterwards.
