
Rox sneak past Capitales, 4-3

BROCKTON - The Brockton Rox defeated the Quebec Capitales, 4-3, on Tuesday night to pick up their 20th win of the second half.
The Rox (20-7) scored first when Eddie Gerald came in on a wild pitch to give the Rox a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
Quebec (15-12) tied the game in the fourth when Simon Legare singled scoring Oliver Lepine, and tying the game, 1-1.
The Rox took a 3-1 lead in the bottom half of the fourth inning when Eugene Julien drove in two runs with his third double of the season.
Eddie Lantigua drove in his 92nd run of the season singling home Danny Scalabrini in the fifth inning to make it, 3-2 Rox.
Quebec then tied the game, 3-3, in the sixth when Lee Delfino singled in Legare.
Kris Zacuto led off the bottom of the sixth inning with his ninth home run of the season to give the Rox a 4-3 win.
Eddie Aucoin (4-0) picked up the win. Danny Prata (4-1) was saddled with the loss. Joey Cole recorded his 13th save of the season with a perfect ninth.
The Rox and Capitales will meet in the final game of the series on Wednesday night. The Rox will hold their third annual Irish Night presented by Mutual Federal Savings Bank. The Rox will wear Irish-themed jersey that will be auctioned off during the game. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
