Rox Seek Applications for "Share the Glove" =242,500 Youth Softball Equipment Grant

St. Cloud, MN - The St. Cloud Rox are excited to announce the organization is accepting applications for the "Share the Glove" Youth Equipment Grant Program in conjunction with the Northwoods League Foundation. The "Share the Glove" program provides youth baseball and softball equipment annually in every Northwoods League market.

The Northwoods League Foundation is a charitable organization that serves as a vehicle to transform a shared passion for baseball and softball into positive change and support for communities. The Foundation will be awarding 22 equipment grants, each with an approximate retail value of $2,500, to youth baseball and softball organizations across the 22 communities in which a Northwoods League affiliate currently operates.

Eleven softball grants will be awarded, one in each Great Plains Division market, including St. Cloud. Eleven baseball grants will be awarded, one in each Great Lakes Division market. Organizations must meet applicable criteria related to IRS 501(c)(3) guidelines and the Northwoods League Foundation's Mission. Share the Glove was introduced in 2018 as part of the Northwoods League's 25th Season Celebration

In 2019, a youth softball team in Central Minnesota will be receiving a $2,500 equipment grant as part of the "Share the Glove" Youth Equipment Grant Program. The Rox will be accepting grant applications from local organizations for consideration throughout the spring, with the deadline to apply for the grant occurring on Wednesday, April 10.

The Rox will open their eighth season of Northwoods League baseball in 2019. The Rox home opener is Saturday, June 1 at 7:05 p.m., featuring post-game fireworks presented by Coborn's.
