
Pair of Runnin' Rebels Headed to Green Bay

Ashwaubenon, Wis. - The Green Bay Booyah have announced the addition of two UNLV position players by signing catcher, Jacob Godman and outfielder, Chase Hanson.
Godman, a 6-foot-2, freshman from Las Vegas, Nevada, helped his high school team to a 31-9 record and a state title winning the NIAA 4A Baseball Championship in 2018. Godman earned 2019 Second Team All-State and First-Team All-Sunset Region Team honors. As a senior, he hit .385 with 13 doubles, three triples, and four home runs and 41 RBI. Through UNLV's first three games Godman started once behind the plate and is 2-4 with an RBI. UNLV will look for Godman to contribute at catcher throughout the spring.
Hanson, a 6-foot-4, freshman from Huntington Beach, California, was drafted in the 38th round by the Chicago Cubs. He helped his high school team to 49 wins in three seasons with back-to-back trips to the in 2016 and 2017 CIF Southern Section Baseball Championships. In 2017, he earned Perfect Game Underclassman All-America Team honorable mention honors.
UNLV began their season last weekend with a 2-1 series win over Seattle University. They will take on UC Santa Barbara in a two-game series that begins tonight in Las Vegas, Nevada
The Green Bay Booyah open up the season on Tuesday, May 28th at 7:05 in Traverse City, Michigan. Capital Credit Union Park will host the first Booyah home game against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters on Saturday June 1st at 7:05.
