Rox Beat Silver Knights Despite Offensive Woes

As the playoffs are approaching, Brockton is playing their best ball, winning 3 straight games. The Rox welcomed the Nashua Silver Knights, who came into the game 2nd place in the Eastern Conference with a 28-16 record.

After Nashua jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first, Brockton countered with 4 runs in the bottom half of the inning while only accumulating one hit. Walks and passed balls advanced Brockton's baserunners throughout the inning.

Fast foward 8 innings later, Brockton still only had one hit the entire game by newcomer Rob Andreoli. However Brockton held a 5-4 lead.

The Silver Knights accumulated their runs with hits, outhitting the Rox 12-1 in the game.

Brockton was able to maintain the Silver Knights' attack in the 9th when David Moyer retired the side to seal Brockton's 4th consecutive victory.

The Rox improved to 22-23 on the year. Brockton's next home game is tomorrow against the Pittsfield Suns (17-26). First pitch is at 7:05 PM. Come see the Rox in action and enjoy $2.00 Miller and Coors Lite draft beer!
