
Round Rock Rides Past Isotopes, 13-3

Round Rock, TX - The Express scored 10 unanswered runs over the first five frames while their pitching staff held the Isotopes to two hits and a walk through six innings to win game two, 13-3, Wednesday night at Dell Diamond.
In the box, Albuquerque tallied eight hits and three doubles.
Coco Montes and LJ Hatch each recorded three hit games. Montes had two doubles, a walk, run and RBI.
Dom Nuñez had the only other RBI. Alan Trejo and Jimmy Herron registered hits as well.
The Express got a run in the first on a Nick Solak RBI single. In the second, they plated four runs to take a 5-0 lead. The lead grew to 8-0 in the third on a wild pitch and Diosbel Arias two-run jack.
Round Rock got to double digits in the fifth on an RBI groundout and sac fly, taking a 10-0 advantage.
The Isotopes then put up a three-spot in the seventh on an RBI double by Montes, Nuñez sac fly and fielding error. In the home half of the inning Round Rock got a run back to make the score 11-3. They added two more runs in the eighth to cap the scoring.
Ashton Goudeau took the loss after allowing eight runs, seven earned, over 3.0 innings pitched.
Topes Scope: - The Isotopes committed at least three errors for the fourth time this year. They are 2-2 in such contests.
-The six combined errors tie a franchise (four times) for most errors in a contest by both teams. It last happened April 30, 2015, at Salt Lake.
-Albuquerque has allowed double-digit runs 20 times this year-they are 0-20 in such contests.
-The 13 runs allowed are tied for the third-most surrendered this year.
-Albuquerque is 2-6 against the Express in Round Rock this year. They've been outscored, 47-12
-The Isotopes are just 1-5 in their last six games. They've been outscored, 62-31
-Montes recorded his sixth three-hit game and 14th multi-hit effort of the year. His six three-hit games are tied with Elehuris Montero and Wynton Bernard for most on the team.
-Hatch registered his third three-hit game of the year and ninth multi-hit effort.
-Sam Hilliard has struck out at least once in his last eight games and 11 of his last 12.
-Nuñez has tallied an RBI in three-straight contests for the first time this year and first time since October 1-3, 2021, vs. Arizona.
-Trejo extended his hit streak to 15-games-the longest streak by an Isotopes player this year. It is also the second-longest active hitting streak in the PCL and fourth longest this year. During the streak, he is 20-for-61 (.328) with five doubles, three homers and nine RBI.
-Herron made his Triple-A debut and went 1-for-4 with a single.
-Goudeau has allowed at least six runs in three of six starts and at least four in five of six. Has relented homer in five of six as well.
On Deck: The Isotopes and Express will faced off for three Thursday night at 6:00 pm at Dell Diamond. Riley Smith is expected to start for Albuquerque and is slated to go against Kolby Allard.
