NASHVILLE, TENN. - Round Rock hitters managed just one run off Nashville starter Mark Rogers as the Express fell to the Sounds 3-1 in Sunday night's Pacific Coast League action. Nashville (42-53) has won five of seven. Round Rock (39-56) has lost five straight.

The Sounds started things off with a run in the bottom of the second inning. Andy Gonzalez led off the frame with a double off Express starter Ben Snyder. Taylor Green followed it up with a double of his own to drive in the run.

Nashville grabbed two more runs in the third inning on a one-out two-run home run by Eric Farris.

The Express got one back in the top of the seventh as Ryan Spilborghs doubled in Joey Butler, but that would all for the night.

Rogers (5-6) tossed seven strong innings to pick up the win for the Sounds. He allowed just four hits and a walk and struck out six.

Snyder (2-4) was saddled with the loss for the Express. He lasted five innings and allowed three runs on five hits and struck out four.

Farris paced Nashville with a pair of hits, including the home run, and two RBI. Dayton Buller had two hits as well and scored a run.

Spilborghs led the way for the E-Train with a double and the lone RBI. Julio Borbon had a hit, stole a base and walked.

Round Rock continues its four-game series Tuesday at Nashville. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CDT. Right-hander Greg Reynolds (7-6, 5.01 ERA) will take the mound for the Express opposite Sounds right-hander Brian Baker (2-3, 5.33 ERA).
