Cedar Rapids RoughRiders News Release

Cedar Rapids, Iowa- The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will honor Robert Gallery, the University of Iowa's Outland Trophy winning offensive tackle, when the RoughRiders host the Des Moines Buccaneers this Friday night at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.

Gallery will sign autographs at the ice arena from 5:45 to 6:45 on Friday evening. Autographs will be available free of charge with paid admission to the game. Fans are encouraged to arrive early in order to be sure of receiving an autograph. Gallery will also drop the puck in a ceremonial opening face off just before the game, which starts at 7:05.

A limit of two autographs per person will be in effect. A limited number of photos of Gallery will be available for purchase Friday night.

As Gallery is widely expected to be selected in the first round of the upcoming National Football League draft, Friday night's events will give Cedar Rapids area Hawkeye fans the chance to wish him well before he embarks on his professional career.

Friday night Gallery will sport the uniform jersey he wore in his last game as a Hawkeye, Iowa's 37-17 win over Florida in the Outback Bowl on New Year's Day. In December, the 23-year old Masonville native became the third Hawkeye to win the Outland trophy, which is awarded to the top interior lineman in college football.

Tickets for Robert Gallery Night- and the rest of the RoughRiders' regular season home games- are now on sale at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office. Tickets can be purchased over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or in person at the ice arena. The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Ticket prices range from $8.00 to $17.00 including a 50-cent facility fee.
