
Black Hawks Molle Scores Goal in All-Star Debut

Joe Pavelski (Plover, WI) and Dustin Molle (Anchorage, AK) represented the Waterloo Black Hawks at the USHL's Mid-Season Classic at the 2004 Prospects/ All-Star Game in Lincoln, Nebraska on Tuesday Night. Pavelski and Molle were representatives of Team World. Team USHL defeated Team World in the All-Star contest 4-3 in overtime.
Molle scored one Team Worlds' three goals. The goal by Molle marks the second straight year that a Black Hawk has scored in the All-Star game. Last year Pavelski scored a pair of goals at the All-Star game in Green Bay. On the night Molle generated a team high four shots on goals and a +1 plus/minus rating. Pavelski posted a pair of shots and was even in plus/minus.
As for the game Team World led 3-0 in the third, only to see Team USHL score three unanswered goals including two with fewer than two and a half minutes left in regulation. In overtime Sioux Falls forward Jim McKenzie scored the game-winning goal. McKenzie was selected the game's Most Valuable Player for his two goal effort.
Waterloo will return to action on Friday night when they travel to Chicago to take on the Steel in a 7:35 PM face-off. Waterloo will then return home Saturday as they host the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders at Young Arena in a 7:05 PM. Tickets are still available for that contest and the box office will be open on Wednesday and Thursday from 11:30-5:30, Friday 11:30-5:00, and Saturday 11:30- game time. Tickets are $11, $10 and $8 dollars. The box office phone number is 291-7680.
