Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders have announced the hiring of assistant coach Ben Kinne. Kinne joins the RoughRiders after having been with St. Mary's University of Minnesota (Winona,MN) as an assistant coach for the past two seasons.

Kinne graduated from Bemidji State University in 2013 with a degree in Business Administration as well as Sports Management. Kinne was captain of the Bemidji State Men's Hockey team during the 2011-2013 seasons.

"The RoughRiders organization would like to welcome Ben and his wife Bri to Cedar Rapids," said RoughRiders Head Coach Mark Carlson. We are very happy to have Ben as part of our coaching staff. We felt it was important to bring in a coach that had prior coaching and scouting experience and we also wanted a coach that was very driven to impact the RoughRiders organization. Ben will make an impact in our scouting efforts and he will bring great ideas to the coaching side of things as well." Carlson added.

Kinne will join the team immediately and work alongside Carlson and Shane Connelly, who is also an assistant coach for the team.
