Capitols partner with Second Harvest Foodbank for Home Opener food drive

MADISON, WI - The Madison Capitols, a member of the United States Hockey League, are partnering with Second Harvest Foodbank for a peanut butter and jelly food drive during the organization's Home Opener against the Green Bay Gamblers on Friday, October 14.

Fans who donate new, unopened jars of peanut butter and jelly as they enter the Veterans Memorial Coliseum at the Alliant Energy Center for the Capitols game against the Gamblers on October 14 will receive a free ticket to a future game this season, and they will be entered to win a luxury suite for the Capitols game on Wednesday, December 28.

"The Capitols are thrilled to partner with Second Harvest Foodbank for this awesome food drive on our Home Opener," said Capitols Account Executive Nick Chacos. "We want to help raise awareness, funds, and food for a great organization and for a great cause."

Fans can purchase special $16 tickets to the Home Opener from a special Second Harvest Foodbank ticket link. Every ticket purchased through this link, $3 will be donated back to the food bank. The Capitols will drop the puck on their third season at Veterans Memorial Coliseum with their Home Opener, presented by Alliant Energy, against the Gamblers on Friday, October 14.
