West Texas Roughnecks News Release

ODESSA, TX. : The Odessa Roughnecks announced from a press conference on Wednesday, June 10 from Outback Steakhouse in Midland, that the team will be sporting specially designed jerseys for their upcoming home game versus the Abilene Ruff Riders on Saturday, June 13. The jerseys were designed by Brianna Badillo, a young girl who was diagnosed with Leukemia back in March of 2006. Brianna's Mother, Priscilla, explained how excited she was for her daughter to be involved with the event.

"She loved every moment of it and having the opportunity to design the jersey was something she definitely was looking forward to. We thought it was nice that the Roughnecks and Make-A-Wish Foundation selected her out of so many children and we can't wait to see how the team will look with the jerseys." Priscilla explained.

The Roughnecks will be holding silent jersey auctions throughout the game, at halftime and post-game. All proceeds from the jersey auctions will go towards the Make-A-Wish Foundation . Additionally, the Roughnecks will be raffling off a Stan Primus jersey during the June 13 game.

"We are absolutely delighted to be working with the Odessa Roughnecks on this particular event." explained Local Make-A-Wish Foundation Director, Tina Corbett. "The Make-A-Wish Foundation is granting a number of wishes this summer and we are grateful the Roughnecks could be part of it. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Roughnecks." Corbett further explained.

The Odessa Roughnecks showcased the jersey during the press conference. Further information regarding these topics can be obtained by contacting the Odessa Roughnecks front office at (432) 332 - PASS (7277) or by visiting the official website of the Odessa Roughnecks at www.odessaroughnecks.com.
