FC Tulsa News Release
The Tulsa Roughnecks will hold an open tryout for unattached players who are looking for a spot on a professional club for the 2016 season. The tryout will be held in Tulsa at the Mohawk Sports Complex on Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14.
Players, ages 18 and over, will have the opportunity to showcase their soccer skills in front of Head Coach David Irving and his staff.
"We are in the process of putting together our squad for the 2016 season," said Irving. "We have some spots to fill, and we look forward to seeing what type of talent may be available to us."
Players interested in auditioning for the club need to complete an online registration form. The cost is $125 per player with both local players and players outside of the Tulsa area invited to attend.
Players outside of the Tulsa area may also consider attending a combine that the team is holding in Atlanta, Georgia in conjunction with PSC Academy. That tryout will be held February 6-8.
The Roughnecks will open the 2016 season, their second in the USL, by hosting expansion side Rio Grande Valley at ONEOK Field on Saturday, March 26. RGV is the USL squad for the Houston Dynamo of MLS.
A number of ticket packages for the season are now sale. More details are available by visiting TulsaRoughnecksFC.com.
