Roughnecks Record First Road Win

Saint Paul, MN - The Calgary Roughnecks defeated the Minnesota Swarm 15-13 to record their first road victory of the season Saturday evening at Xcel Energy Center.
Curtis Dickson scored a game-leading five goals, including netting a shorthanded marker to become Calgary's all-time leader in shorthanded goals (13). Dickson added a pair of helpers to finish the night with seven points. Daryl Veltman provided two goals and set up five others for Calgary, while reigning NLL MVP Shawn Evans recorded a season-high eight assists. Dane Dobbie (4g, 2a), Karsen Leung (2g), Jeff Shattler (1g, 2a) and Dan MacRae (1g) also contributed in the win.
The Swarm received goals from nine different players, including hat tricks from both Jordan MacIntosh and Shayne Jackson.
Geoff Snider excelled in the face-off circle, winning 23 of 31 draws for Calgary to record a season-high face-off winning percentage (.742).
The Roughnecks, now 3-3 on the season, return to the Scotiabank Saddledome to begin a three-game homestand on Saturday, Feb. 15 when Calgary hosts the Vancouver Stealth at 7:00 p.m. Come for the Party & Stay for the Game as the Roughnecks tailgate party opens two hours before face-off and continues post-game in Dutton's Canadian Lounge. Pre and post-game events are open to all ages.
