
Roughnecks Re-Sign Toth To One-Year Contract

Calgary, AB - Calgary Roughnecks general manager Mike Board announced today that the National Lacrosse League club has re-signed forward Kaleb Toth to a one-year contract for the 2013 season.
Toth, a native of Calgary, Alberta, is entering his 12th campaign with the Roughnecks. He is the franchise leader for Calgary in games played (160), goals (274), assists (354), points (628) and loose balls (568). In 16 post-season games, Toth has recorded 22 goals and 34 assists for 56 points. He captured the Champion's Cup as a member of the Roughnecks in 2004 and 2009. During the 2012 NLL season, Toth suited up for seven games, registering three goals and five assists.
The Roughnecks have also signed 2012 draft selection Jackson Decker as well as free agents, Matt Lyons, Andrew Murphy and Aaron Tackaberry, a Calgary product, to one-year contracts.
Decker was selected by the Roughnecks in the second round, 17th overall, in the 2012 NLL Entry Draft. The Port Moody, B.C. product played nine games for the Burnaby Lakers of the Western Lacrosse Association this past summer where he registered six goals and nine assists for 15 points.
Lyons, a native of Orangeville, Ontario, has played 35 career NLL games split between the Rochester Knighthawks and Boston Blazers. He accumulated 34 goals and 44 assists for 78 points over that span.
Murphy, a native of Port Coquitlam, B.C., spent this past summer with the Tri-City Bandits of the West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association and finished third in league scoring with 35 goals and 42 assists for 77 points in 19 games.
Tackaberry, a native of Calgary, Alberta and a product of the Calgary District Lacrosse Association, was originally drafted by the Rochester Knighthawks in 2011. He spent the past four seasons with the Okotoks Raiders Junior 'A' Lacrosse team where he played 69 games and tallied 155 points (74 goals, 81 assists) while collecting 373 loose balls.
