Roughnecks Pick up Two in Dispersal Draft

CALGARY, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks selected defencemen Luke Forget and Dayne Michaud in a dispersal draft held by the National Lacrosse League earlier today.

Forget was selected 11th overall, while Michaud was selected 22nd by the Roughnecks.

Both players were acquired from the former Portland Lumberjax club, who will not be playing in the 2010 season.

Forget, who is a native of Woodstock, ON, notched 10 points (1g, 9a) in 16 games last season. The 27-year-old collected 89 loose balls and racked up 24 penalty minutes in that time. Prior to his time with Portland, Forget played with the Rochester Knighthawks and Toronto Rock.

The 21-year-old Michaud, who was born in Port Coquitlam, BC, debuted in his first NLL season in 2009, tallying two points (2a) in three games.

Transition player Brodie Merrill was selected first overall by the Edmonton Rush. The Toronto Rock selected transition player Tyler Codron as the dispersal draft's second selection, while Minnesota selected forward Scott Stewart with the third selection.
