FC Tulsa News Release

The Tulsa Roughnecks and iHeart Media announced today that the Roughnecks' 2016 matches will again air live in the Tulsa area on CBS Sports Radio, AM 1300. All 30 regular season USL matches will be broadcasted.

Match broadcasts will also be available online through 1300TheBuzz.com and through the iHeart Radio mobile app.

Returning to the booth will be lead broadcaster Jeremie Poplin. Pop, who is the host for The Big Show which airs weekday afternoons on iHeart's AM 1430 and is also the sideline reporter for the University of Tulsa football broadcasts, will handle the play-by-play duties.

"Last season was a dream come true for me professionally and personally," said Poplin. "I am beyond thankful to have the opportunity to call the sport that I love and will strive to make this year even bigger and better. The Roughnecks organization has become family to me. Let's paint Tulsa orange!"

Former BBC broadcaster David Saunders will return to his role, joining Poplin as color commentator for all home and selected road matches.

"We are excited to again partner with iHeart Media to make our matches available on the radio," said Roughnecks Vice President Brian Carroll. "In our first year, our broadcasts were very well received, as Pop and David did a great job of making the matches informative and entertaining. The match broadcasts really help to bring our fans closer to the team."

The first broadcast of the year is scheduled for this Saturday, March 26, when the Roughnecks open the season by hosting the Rio Grande Valley Toros (Houston Dynamo 2) at ONEOK Field. A special one hour pre-game show will begin at 6:00PM on AM1300, followed by kickoff at 7:00PM.

Tickets for the regular season opener are now on sale at TulsaRoughnecksFC.com.
