Roughnecks FC Sign D.J. Dean

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa Roughnecks FC has signed 20-year-old Forward Dominique "DJ" Dean.

"Signing with the Tulsa Roughnecks means a lot to me and my family," said Dean, "I am grateful for the opportunity and will do everything I can to help the team. I am excited for the upcoming season and can't wait to get started."

Dean, a native of Tulsa, played soccer at Union High School and for the West Side Alliance Soccer Club.

"We are pleased that Tulsan DJ Dean will be rejoining the Tulsa Roughnecks for the 2019 season. DJ is a very promising player with a lot of potential," said General Manager Wayne Farmer. "It is very important to us that Tulsa players have the opportunity to play at the highest level, and we look forward to seeing more players from Oklahoma follow in DJ's footsteps by signing as a professional soccer player."

The Tulsa Roughnecks F.C. was reborn in 2015 when the professional soccer club began play in the United Soccer League (USL). The Roughnecks play in the USL Championship, one of the most successful professional soccer leagues in the world. The 2017 season marked the Roughnecks most successful campaign, as the team earned its first-ever playoff appearance.
