Roughnecks Continue Winning Ways

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks tallied five first quarter goals en route to a 13-11 win over the Washington Stealth Saturday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome, extending their winning streak to five games.

Dane Dobbie led the Roughnecks with three goals and four assists, while Daryl Veltman notched six helpers for Calgary. Scott Ranger scored four times and set up one other, with Jeff Shattler (3g), Shawn Evans (1g), Curtis Dickson (1g) and Peter McFetridge (1g) also scoring in the victory.

Stealth forward Athan Iannucci posted a five-point night (4g, 1a), while Rhys Duch scored one and set up three others for the visitors.

Mike Poulin made 42 saves to record his ninth win as Calgary outshot Washington 61-53.

Calgary plays their last regular season home game on Friday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m. when they welcome the Rochester Knighthawks (5-7).
