Abbotsford Heat News Release
Abbotsford, BC - Abbotsford Heat General Manager Jay Feaster announced today the assignment of twenty-four year old defenceman Drew MacKenzie to the Utah Grizzlies, the Heat's developmental affiliate in the East Coast Hockey League.
In addition to this assignment, left winger Kael Mouillierat and defenceman Dennis Urban were each released from their American Hockey League tryout arrangements and will be returning to their ECHL teams. The Heat roster now sits at twenty-eight players - seven defencemen, eighteen forwards and three goaltenders.
The Heat continue to prepare for their home opener and season opening weekend against the Peoria Rivermen (AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues) this Friday, October 12th and Saturday, October 13th at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Center. Each training camp session (daily) is open to the public.
