Abbotsford, BC - Abbotsford Heat General Manager Jay Feaster announced today the signing of centre Brett Olson to an American Hockey League contract.

Olson completed a four-year collegiate career with the Michigan Tech Huskies (WCHA) in March where he recorded 42 goals, 51 assists, 93 points and 156 penalty minutes in 127 games. The 25-year-old led the Huskies in scoring in his sophomore and senior years, and served as team captain for his final two seasons.

Olson was born in Duluth, Minnesota, but calls Superior, Wisconsin home. Prior to his collegiate career with Michigan Tech, Olson spent three seasons with the USHL's Waterloo Black Hawks.
