Falcons Assign Moon, Vogelhuber to ECHL

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons, AHL affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced two player transactions on Tuesday.

The Falcons have assigned center Nathan Moon to the Cincinnati Cyclones, who own the second-year pro's ECHL rights, and rookie right wing Trent Vogelhuber to the Evansville IceMen, Springfield's ECHL developmental club.

The roster moves reduce Springfield's roster to 29 players (16 forwards, 10 defensemen, three goaltenders). Click here to view the Falcons' roster (PDF).

Springfield commences the regular season this Saturday, Oct. 13 when it hosts the St. John's IceCaps at the MassMutual Center at 7:00 p.m. to begin its 19th AHL campaign.

Single-game tickets to see the Falcons in the 2012-2013 regular season are on sale now and can be purchased at the MassMutual Center Box Office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. through game time on Saturday home dates, and starting four hours prior to Sunday home contests.
