Roots Lose at the Death in Orange County

Oakland Roots News Release
Oakland Roots controlled long spells of the game taking a lead through Ariel Mbumba who picked up his fourth goal of the season in the 19th minute. Following a number of first half chances for Oakland Roots, Orange County scored late in the first half through captain Micheal Orozco, who was unmarked at the back post. The sides went into the half level despite multiple chances for the Roots to score a second before the Orozco equalizer.
The second half was a battle as both teams had chances to win the game. Orange County found the best of those chances as they won the game on another set piece in the dying moments of stoppage time to give the home side all three points. Oakland Roots return home for two important games at Laney against Las Vegas and Sacramento.
