Roosters Announce Exhibition Game

Richmond, Indiana - The Richmond Roosters will tune up for the 2004 Frontier League with an exhibition game on Sunday, May 16th at McBride Stadium. The Roosters will take on the Florence Freedom for a doubleheader, playing two seven-inning games beginning at 1:00pm. Admission is free for all. Concessions, merchandise and all the fun of Roosters baseball will be available.

The Roosters are celebrating their 10th anniversary season in 2004 and just some of the special events planned for the year are the nights included in the Super Six Pack:

Friday May 21st - Opening Night Fireworks
Saturday June 5th - Roosters Hat Giveaway
Saturday June 12th - Rowdy Rooster Bobblehead Night
Sunday July 4th - Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza
Saturday July 17th - Blues Brothers Night
Saturday August 28th - Fan Appreciation Night

"We are tremendously excited about celebrating the10th anniversary season of the Richmond Roosters with our fans," said Roosters Vice President/General Manager, Deanna Beaman, "The events that we have planned guarantee a fun filled summor for our fans. The team is going to be very competitive as we make a run for our third Frontier League championship."

The Roosters were the 2000 and 2001 Frontier League Champions and finished 50-39 in 2003 and in a super competitive eastern division, missed the post-season playoffs by just 1.5 games.

The regular season begins on Friday May 21st at 6:35pm against the Chillicothe Paints.
