Aberdeen Wings News Release
The North American Hockey League announced their divisional stars of the week on Monday. Two Aberdeen Wings were selected and named, #11 TJ Roo (F-Champlain Park, MN) and #1 Chad Catt (G-Williamstown, MI).
Wings goaltender Chad Catt has received recognition for the NAHL Stars of the Week numerous times this season, and for good reason. Catt is #3 rated goaltender in the entire league and week in; week out he's making big saves. Friday night, against the Bismarck Bobcats, Catt stopped 45 of 46 shots as the Wings battled to a 2-1 victory. Even in Saturday night's game, Catt battled most of the 1st and 2nd periods with tough goaltending, but the Wings would come up short 4-2.
Wings forward TJ Roo, a former Mr. Hockey Minnesota candidate only played in Friday night's game, but he would be the deciding factor in the scoring column with two goals. Roo was a healthy scratch for Saturday night's game.
The Wings have a short practice routine this week as Wednesday they begin a three-game road series. Wednesday they will be in Brookings taking on the Blizzard. Friday and Saturday, the Wings will be on the road to Minot in NAHL action. Hear the game by clicking the "Listen Live" tab on the home page or listen/watch at FASTHockey.com.
