AMARILLO TX - Despite a split against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees on home ice over the weekend, the Amarillo Bulls were able to gain in the South Division standings and maintain their eight point advantage in first place. The Bulls have an eight point lead over the Topeka RoadRunners and Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees who are tied for 2nd and 10 points ahead of the Wichita Fall Wildcats.

For the third time in four years the Bulls head on the road for Thanksgiving to Topeka to renew a rivalry with the RoadRunners on Friday and Saturday at 7:15 pm at Kansas Expo Center Landon Arena.

THANKSGIVING IN KANSAS: The Amarillo Bulls head to Topeka to renew the best rivalry in the North American Hockey League with the RoadRunners this Friday and Saturday night. The Thanksgiving games have traditionally been exciting between the two teams and this promises to be no exception. The face-off for both is set for 7:15 pm and fans can listen starting at 6:55 pm with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show on CBS Sports Radio 1440, www.amarillobulls.com and on PPV courtesy of Fast Hockey.

SONIC SUNDAY IS BACK: The fourth annual Sonic Sunday is set for December 8 at 6 pm when the Amarillo Bulls host the Odessa Jackalopes. Details on how the tickets will be released will be made available next week.

BULLS IN THE COMMUNITY: The Bulls Against Bullying Program makes two stops this week to Puckett Elementary School to Tascosa High School. Players also attended the Amarillo Civic Center's Centennial Education Day. Students from AISD learned more about the Civic Center and the history of the Bulls.

WEEKEND REWIND:

RIO GRANDE VALLEY 1 - AMARILLO BULLS 0: The Bulls fired 25 shots at goaltender Nick Schmit but couldn't break through. The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees scored the lone goal midway through the 2nd period and that held up as the lone goal. Collin Delia turned aside 24 of 25 shots he faced.

AMARILLO BULLS 4 - RIO GRANDE VALLEY 2: Tyler Gernhofer scored the eventual winning early in the third period to lift the Amarillo Bulls to a 4-2 triumph of the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees on Saturday night. Roman Ammirato scored twice and set up another while Cody Gylling added a single marker. Paul Berrafato earned the victory in goal.

STATS OF NOTE: The Amarillo Bulls have killed off 44 of 47 penalties during the month of November while posting a mark of 9-1. The Bulls have outscored their opponents 39-16 and goaltenders Paul Berrafato and Collin Delia have a combined 1.60 Goals Against Average. Twenty-six of the Bulls 39 goals have been tallied even strength (13 power play goals scored).
