Jose Rondon held the Brockton Rox (22-12) scoreless for five innings to boost the Torrington Titans (18-14) to a 5-0 victory.
Rondon struck out five and allowed one walk and two hits.
The Torrington Titans scored three runs in the first inning to build an early lead. The Torrington Titans scored in the first on an RBI single by Mike Odenwaelder, an RBI single by Matthew Batten, and an RBI single by Willy Yahn.
Chris Scura reached base four times in the game for the Torrington Titans. He singled in the first and second innings and doubled in the fourth inning.
Andrew David ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
