Rome, GA - The Rome Braves have placed pitcher Asher Demme on the disabled list retroactive to Wednesday June 14th. Demee was 2-2 with a 2.45 ERA in four games. Left-hander Jacob Stevens joins the Rome ball club from Myrtle Beach of the Carolina League where he was 1-6 with a 6.41 ERA. In 2004, Stevens was an All-Star pitcher for Rome and was 9-5 with a 2.27 ERA
Upcoming Home Stand: Rome entertains the Columbus Catfish at State Mutual Stadium tonight for three games.
Tonight - Reese's "Really Nuts" sampling night. Game at 7pm. Saturday - Parrot Head Paradise Night! A1A, the "Official Jimmy Buffet Cover Band, will entertain fans before and after the game. Players will be wearing special jerseys that will be auctioned during the game to benefit the Miracle Field of Rome. Presented by Blood Assurance and K98 Radio with first pitch at 7pm.
Sunday - Rome News Tribune Family Day with special giveaways, an autograph session beginning at 12:15, and first pitch at 2pm.
