Rogers Television 22 To Broadcast 21 Lynx Games In 2006

OTTAWA, ON - The Ottawa Lynx Baseball Club and Rogers Television 22 are pleased to announce a 21-game television broadcast schedule for the 2006 season. This will be the 13th season that Ottawa fans will be able to watch Lynx broadcasts on Rogers Television 22.

The 21 Lynx broadcasts include three games in May, five in June, three in July and eleven in August and September, when the Lynx will be working towards a playoff birth in the International League North Division.

"We are looking forward to another terrific season of Lynx Baseball on Rogers Television 22," said Lynx General Manager Kyle Bostwick. "Rogers Television continues to provide great coverage of the Lynx and all of local sports in Ottawa, we're exciting to be working together in 2006"

The broadcast schedule will open on Friday, May 19th when the Lynx take on the Syracuse SkyChiefs (Triple-A Affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays) at 6:00 pm. The experienced broadcast team of Mark Sutcliffe and Scott MacArthur will return to the booth to call all the exciting baseball action at Lynx Stadium in 2006.

"When you think of summer, you think of the Ottawa Lynx and baseball. It has become part of the Ottawa ritual," said Ray Skaff, Station Manager for Rogers Television. "The Lynx is a community-minded team, and we encourage fans to go out to support the team and experience the game. When they can't go to the park, they can watch it on Rogers Television."
