
Roger Clemens Signs with the Sugar Land Skeeters

Sugar Land, TX - Eleven time All Star and seven time Cy Young Award Winner Roger Clemens is scheduled to join the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League. Clemens will be in uniform on Friday August 24, and will make his first start for the Skeeters this Saturday, August 25, at Constellation Field.
"Roger came to work out for us today, and we were very impressed," said Tal Smith, special advisor for the Sugar Land Skeeters. "He had great command of all his pitches and we couldn't be more excited about this signing."
Clemens joins the Atlantic League's Sugar Land Skeeters pitching rotation that all ready features former major leaguers Scott Kazmir, Tim Redding and Jason Lane.
"Any time you can add a player of Roger's caliber is extremely exciting," said Skeeters President Matt O'Brien. "Our inaugural season has been extremely memorable, and this is just going to add to it."
