Maywood Laguneros News Release
LONG BEACH, Calif. (Jan. 14, 2005) - In his return from arthroscopic knee surgery, Dennis Rodman will delay his return to the Long Beach Jam of the American Basketball Association until February 3rd. His first game back will be at Tijuana and his first home game will be February 13th against the Ontario Warriors.
Rodman had surgery on his left knee in December and was set to begin practicing with the Jam Jan. 17.
"Rodman's doctor advised him to take two more weeks off before working out," said Rodman's agent, Darren Prince.
Rodman was a member of last season's ABA Championship squad, averaging 12 rebounds per contest in three games with the Jam, including 14 in the title game against the Kansas City Knights.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
