Midland RockHounds News Release
The RockHounds will be battling San Antonio for the final Texas League playoff spot the next two weeks. Be sure to come out and support your 'Hounds as they try to put away the Missions and earn a berth to the 2008 Texas League Playoffs.
PLAYOFF SCHEDULE (IF THE ROCKHOUNDS WIN THE 2ND HALF)
Game 1 - Wednesday, September 3rd at Frisco
Game 2 - Thursday, September 4th at Frisco
Game 3 - Friday, September 5th at Citibank Ballpark
First 1000 fans will receive either a mini Midland High or mini
Midland Lee football (come early for baseball, stay for football)
Game 4 - Sat., Sept. 6th at Citibank Ballpark (if necessary)
Post game Fireworks
Game 5 - Sunday, Sept. 7th at Citibank Ballpark (if necessary)
MORE PLAYOFF INFORMATION
The 2nd half champion will receive home field advantage in the best-of-five.
The South has home field advantage in the Championship Series this year. (home-field rotates on a yearly basis).
If the RockHounds win the 2nd half they could have games on the following dates - (9/5, 9/6, 9/7, 9/12, 9/13, 9/14).
If Frisco wins the 2nd half and the RockHounds win the wild card the Divisional series would play out in a 2-2-1 format with Frisco having home-field advantage.
