Drillers Final Homestand August 19-25

The Tulsa Drillers will begin their final homestand of the 2008 regular season on Tuesday, August 19. The stand will consist of seven games and includes a four-game series with the Arkansas Travelers (Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim) August 19-22 and a three-game set against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals (Kansas City Royals) August 23-25.
All games in the homestand have scheduled starting of times of 7:05PM, with one exception. The game on Sunday, August 24 will begin at 2:05PM.
The promotions schedule is highlighted by a three-night Margaritaville Weekend from Thursday, August 21 through Saturday, August 23. The weekend will also feature the unique Moustache Night on Friday, August 22 and a post-game Fireworks Show on Saturday, August 23.
Other promotions on the homestand will include Advertisers Appreciation Free Ticket Nights on Tuesday, August 19 and Wednesday, August 20. The home schedule will conclude with Jerseys Off Our Backs / Fan Appreciation Night on Monday, August 25.
Tulsa will enter the final homestand with impressive offensive numbers. With 15 games remaining in the season, the Drillers led all league teams with a .280 team batting average. Individually, Matt Miller, Dexter Fowler and Tony Blanco were 1-2-3 in the race for the batting title. Miller's .344 average will not change since he is now with Triple A Colorado Springs.
Fowler's .337 mark may or may not change. He is currently representing the USA at the Summer Olympics, but he could return for the final few games of the season.
Corey Wimberly continues to lead the TL in stolen bases.
Tickets for all games in the homestand are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week over the Internet at TulsaDrillers.com. Tickets are also available in person at the Drillers Stadium Ticket Office or over the telephone by calling (918) 744-5901.
NOTES
ATTENDANCE: The Drillers need to have an average attendance of 4,499 paid fans over the final seven games to reach 300,000 in paid attendance this season. It would be the 14th time in the past 16 seasons that Tulsa has reached the milestone.
ON THE ROAD: Tulsa will finish the regular season with a 7-game road trip that will include visits to Springfield and Northwest Arkansas. The final game of the regular season is scheduled for Labor Day, September 1 against the Naturals in Springdale.

Minor League Baseball's craziest fan, Myron Noodleman, returns to Drillers Stadium to keep fans of all ages laughing throughout the night.

MARGARITAVILLE WEEKEND BEGINS
Put on your flip flops and Hawaiian shirt and sail out to Drillers Stadium for the first night of Margaritaville Weekend, presented by Star 103.3 and Saint Francis Health Zone, celebrating its 25th Anniversary. The first 2,000 fans will receive Drillers koozies and leis. It is also our final Thirsty Thursday of the season with 12-ounce servings of Bud and Bud Light and 16-ounce servings of Pepsi on sale for only $1.00 each. There will also be 2 for 1 specials on Margarita Wine Coolers and "Cheeseburgers In Paradise." In addition, Something Steel will be performing your favorite Caribbean songs live before the game on the stadium concourse.

MOUSTACHE NIGHT
The Drillers turn back the clock with Moustache Night. Grow your best 1980's moustache because all persons with an authentic "stache" will receive a free general admission ticket. And if you can't grow a moustache, the first 2,000 fans will receive a free one from the Drillers!
MARGARITAVILLE WEEKEND CONTINUES
Margaritaville Weekend continues with the first 2,000 fans receiving leis. Something Steel returns to entertain fans live before the game and "Cheeseburgers In Paradise" will again be on sale, two for the price of one! It is all presented by K95.5FM.
Saturday, August 23 vs. Northwest Arkansas Naturals (7:05PM) - Gates Open at 6:00PM
FIREWORKS
Fans will be treated to the final Fireworks Show of the season. This post-game spectacular is presented by Red Crown Credit Union, the Tulsa World and KVOO 98.5FM.
MARGARITAVILLE WEEKEND FINALE
Margaritaville Weekend concludes with the first 2,000 fans getting leis and Something Steel entertaining fans live before the game with their Caribbean sound. In addition, Margarita Wine Coolers will be on sale, two for the price of one.

KIDS EAT FREE SUNDAY
It is another great Kids Eat Free Sunday courtesy of Borden Dairy, EOOC, the Tulsa World, NewsTalk 740 and Spirit 102.3. Kids, 14 and under, who enter with a paid admission will receive a coupon redeemable for a free hot dog, ice cream and milk. There will also be a face painter, a balloon artist and a cartoon artist, FREE for kids!
KIDS RUN THE BASES
Kids of all ages will have the chance to run the bases at Drillers Stadium following the game courtesy of Sonic. All runners will also receive a coupon from Sonic.

JERSEYS OFF OUR BACKS / FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT
You could win an authentic, game-used jersey off the back of one of the Drillers players! All players and coaches will present their home jerseys to lucky fans after the game. For your chance to win, simply complete the entry form found in your souvenir program. Also, from 6:00-6:30PM, many of the Drillers players will be signing autographs and visiting with fans on the stadium concourse.
LADIES NIGHT
Ladies will also enjoy a special night at the ballpark with free nail care and back massages being offered compliments of Green Country Cycle City, Community Care College and Mix 96. Ladies will also receive coupons that will allow them to get discounts on selected food and beverage items at the stadium.
