Rockford, Ill.- Coming off of a win, the Rockford IceHogs (9-8-1-0) take on the Western Conference leading Abbotsford Heat (14-5-0-1) at the BMO Harris Bank Center at 7 p.m. This will mark the first of four times these two teams will face off this season.
Tonight's game is a WXRX Dollar Day. Fans can purchase hot dogs, soda, beer and companion tickets for just $1. To purchase tickets, call (815) 968-5222, online through IceHogs.com or in person at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office or at any Ticketmaster outlet. WXRX is also offering a ticket package for tonight's game, fans can buy a ticket, hot dog and refillable cup for $15 at the Box Office.
You can tune into tonight's game against the Heat beginning at 6:30 p.m. with IceHogs Warm Up on Antenna TV 23.2, Comcast channel 436, Charter 970, Mediacom 101 or online at AHLLive.com.
After pocketing six points in 70 games in 2012-13, defenseman Klas Dahlbeck has recored 11 points (5g-6a) in 18 games so far this season. The Katrineholm, Sweden native had previously only recorded three goals in his professional career and his six assists this season are a single-season high as well.
The Heat sit atop the Western Conference after playing a league high 20 games. Center Blair Jones is the Heat's leading scorer with 20 points (8g-12a) in just 15 games on the season. The Central Butte, Saskatchewan forward is coming off a two point (1g-1a) game last night at the Milwaukee Admirals to earn rookie goaltender Joni Ortio his eighth win and continue his undefeated streak (8-0-0-0).
The IceHogs encourage fans to bring donations to tonight's game that will be given to the central Illinois storm victims. Specifically, baby food, diapers, clothes, bottled water, first aid kits, duct tape and jackets. Any fans that bring a donation to the BMO Box Office will receive a free ticket to tonight's game. Limit of one ticket per person. Monetary donations will also be accepted at all concession stands and the U.S. Cellular Fan Zone and will be donated to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
Next Home Game: Wednesday, Nov. 27 vs. Milwaukee Admirals. Game time is 7 p.m. The game will be a WXRX Dollar Day. Fans can purchase hot dogs, soda, beer and companion tickets for $1. Fans can also purchase IceHogs jerseys for half off at Oink Outfitters.
