The Kelowna Rockets fell 2-1 to the Kamloops Blazers on Saturday night at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops, BC.

The Blazers held a 1-0 lead after twenty thanks to Zane Franklin (7).

The Rockets were called for six penalties during the second period, playing without a man for 10:57 of the middle frame. Kelowna held the Blazers off and entered the final frame down a single goal.

Max Martin (3) extended the Kamloops lead early in the third period. Kyle Topping (5) scored the Rockets lone goal with 3:11 left to play.

Kelowna's record is now 6-4-1-0.

Roman Basran stopped 37 of the 39 shots he faced, his record moves to 5-3-1-0. The Blazers outshot the Rockets 39-26.

The Rockets are back in action on Wednesday, October 23 when they head to Prince George to face the Cougars.
