The Kelowna Rockets fell 4-2 in Everett to the Silvertips on Friday night.
At 12:51 of the opening frame Carsen Twarysnki scored his team leading 39th of the season to give the Rockets a 1-0 lead finishing off a beautiful Dillon Dube pass. Kelowna held that lead into the second period.
Just over five minutes into the second period Kole Lind(36) snapped a shot over the glove of Everett netminder Carter Hart to make it 2-0 Kelowna. Matt Fonteyne(32) got Everett on the board with 1:19 remaining in the period and the Rockets led 2-1 after 40 minutes.
In the third the Rockets held on strong to a one goal lead until Patrick Bajkov(29) finally evened things up for the Tips with 8:21 remaining. With 3:09 to go, Connor Dewar(33) gave the Silvertips their first lead of the evening. Dewar(34) added a late power play marker for a 4-2 Silvertips final.
Brodan Salmond's record drops to 11-10-0-1 after stopping 36 of the 40 shots he faced. The Silvertips outshot the Rockets 40-24.
Kelowna's record falls to 38-21-4-2.
