Saskatoon Blades News Release

Tonight - The Saskatoon Blades will try to snap a 3 game slide visiting the league leading Moose Jaw Warriors for the final time this season. The Blades are desperately trying to get back into a playoff spot, currently sitting 2 points behind the Prince Albert Raiders for the final Wild Card spot in the East. The Blades are 1-3-1-0 against the Warriors this season. Braylon Shmyr (2G,4A) and Josh Paterson (5G) lead the offense against Moose Jaw this season.

The opponent - The Warriors return home after playing their last 4 games on the road stretching across all 4 Western Canadian provinces. Last night the Warriors were in Brandon where they dropped a 4-2 contest to the Wheat Kings. Moose Jaw comes in 5-5 in their last 10, just like the Blades. Brayden Burke is the man to watch for Moose Jaw with 14 points in 5 games against Saskatoon this season.

For Saskatoon - The Blades are now on the outside of the playoff picture and will need to fight for their lives to get back into it sitting 2 points behind the Prince Albert Raiders. With 8 games remaining on the schedule, none will come easy at this point. The remedy is quite simple; full team effort, full 60 minutes, and the Blades might be able to knock off a weary group on the other side tonight. Eyes will also remain on the scoreboard as the Blades will hope Logan Flodell and company can pick up another win when Lethbridge visits Prince Albert tonight.
