
Rockets Complete Sweep with 4-2 Win

The Kelowna Rockets advanced to the second round of the Western Hockey League playoffs on Wednesday night with a 4-2 win in Prince George, sweeping the Cougars in four straight games in their WHL Western Conference quarterfinal series.
Shane McColgan scored twice while defencemen Zak Stebner and Damon Severson also scored for the Rockets. Mitchell Callahan had two helpers while Adam Brown made 33 saves to earn the victory in net.
After opening with two wins on home ice on the weekend, the Rockets beat the Cougars in two straight at the CN Centre in Prince George: 7-6 Tuesday night and 4-2 Wednesday.
The Rockets will now be idle until Friday April 8 when the second round of the playoffs begin. The Rockets opponent is yet to be determined.
